Girls Need to Know - GNTK Girls Need To Know - GNTK - is a series of interactive and experiential expositions designed and intended specifically to introduce girls 13 – 18 to the positive power of new information, opportunities, experiences, persons, resources, and skills. When they attend GNTK, girls explore their capabilities and learn more of what’s possible for them, frame a more positive view of themselves and of their obligations to their society, and begin to construct a place of higher value for themselves in their world. Once a month, girls get together in an academically stimulating environment, with capable, successful, and accomplished women who are living their dreams, creating important legacies, making powerful decisions, and enjoying their lives. These women, the Magisters and Mentors, share their wisdom, knowledge, and expertise, their networks, interests, and passions. Girls see the power of commitment in action, comprehend the importance of clear goals and disciplined action, and experience the inimitable thrill of accomplishment. GNTK supports self-efficacy, and empowers girls to exercise their rights, fulfill their responsibilities, and contribute meaningfully to the development of their families and communities.
