THE STATE OF ARIZONA'S GIRLS: TAKE NOTE, MAKE CHANGE A Status Report and, in 2009, a video-Documentary Arizona’s girls are failing in school and other areas of their lives at an alarming rate. They are falling victim to substance and other types of abuse, neglect, insufficiency, and deprivation, and are floundering, without adequate support, against myriad dangerous, yet entirely vincible obstacles and ills. They are being overwhelmed when they need not be. We, of The Girls’ Education Project, intend to reverse the negative trends and contribute significantly to the enhancement of the quality of life for the women and girls, and as a direct consequence, the entire citizenry, of the State of Arizona. The mission of The Girls’ Education Project is to provide help and support, in the form of education, motivation, and access to resources, persons, and opportunities for as large a number of these girls as is possible. The Girls' Education Project is a new kind of community partnership.
